website submissions

Our website submissions are always open as we accept pitches on a rolling basis. But we do have also have monthly themed issues (refer to editorial calendar) if you'd prefer to have a theme to follow. If you'd like to write for us but your not under the issue's theme, you are still welcome to submit! It will be published on the website but it just won't be included in themed issue.

If you identify as an Asian woman, non-binary person, or another gender minority, this is the space for your work and experiences! We accept pitches and submissions for pieces for the following sections:

• culture (food, beauty, fashion, music, books, TV & Film)

• life (first person (personal essays) , self-portraits, spirituality, education, career, health, relationships, entrepreneurship)

• society (politics, activism, news)

• create (poetry, art, fiction, photography)

Don’t worry if you’re not sure if you’re piece fits under a column! We will work with you to find a place on our website.

If you choose to submit a pitch or a piece, please read the contributor guidelines before submitting! Any emails that do not adhere to the contributor guidelines will be delayed or turned away.

To submit to our themed issues, please send your pitch or piece (as a Google Doc) to overachievermagazine@gmail.com with the subject "Website Submission: [insert issue name]"

If you submit a pitch for a written piece, an editor will be in touch with you as soon as possible. If you do not hear from us after one week, please send an email to our editorial team at editorial@overachievermagazine.com with the subject as “Website Submission Inquiry: Pitch Follow-up” with overachievermagazine@gmail.com CC'd to the email.
